A very good listen. I came to the same conclusions a few months ago. Buy straw hats in winter!
The Fed is causing havoc in the rest off the world with a high $US. Developing countries are being smashed but when the high $US is causing problems in developing countries as well (eg Japan defending its currency and UK issues) it really comes home the problems the Fed is causing.
The central bank and finance ministers meeting will be interesting to see if the other countries exert pressure on the Fed to stop being so destructive with such large rate rises ( the media notes that will be our Treasurers message).
Once the Fed starts to pivot the $US will probably start to fall but the extent and are the real questions.
Trying to pick the bottom in POG is the wrong approach as when the Fed pivots it is possible the POG reaction will be quite significant.
