    from what I’ve read, there are too many variables in the composition of the rocks to make any assumption. Permeability, clays and other factors.

    Initially I had thought a soaking period was just shutting the well in for a longer period of time. Apparently it’s leaving the frac fluids/water in to “soak” longer.
    I’m assuming calima 3 had less frac fluid recovered than 2.
    Which would make calima 3 more of a “soaked” well in comparison to 2.

    I think the retesting results will be quite interesting. Hoping (fingers crossed) for an improvement.

    There are quite a few papers/articles I found on soaking periods. Best search term to google is “frac fluid soaking” for those that are interested in reading up.
