I think the announcement is far more significant than the market is giving it credit for. Finding decent grade ore along the path of the link drive is virtually the best announcement we could get apart form Cu price rise in AUD. Something that can be fleshed out.
In general, it's the other way around. You find where the ore is then work out the most efficient way to recover it. In this case, we've got two ore positions and a path. Then have found ore "dropped" near perfectly along the way. Talk abotu Santa Calus. What it's going to do, for mid-term mining economics, is wonderful. In fact, it both underpins the plant expansion and possibly puts the pressure on for de-bottlenecking straight after that.
Alternatively, if we weren't certain the link drive was the best option. we are now.
