I work at a company adopting a SAS model I disagree with all 3 of your points.

A ) Tech startup or not, they are listed on the ASX. For a company to be publicly listed is no easy feat. They must do their due diligence as well as hire the people with strong financial background to correctly compile and report financials to the ASX according to strict guidelines.

    B ) and C )

It is a simple transfer of $ for product.
Even though they get access to the software now, and billed according to usage - they would have estimates on much business or transactions that SILA typically do.

    Options are:

    i) $ for user licenses. if exact # of users is not known, provide an estimate. The company which was sold the SAS model would have inquired with an estimated user count. e.g. can Yojee handle X number of users?

ii) $ for client transactions. either charging % of shipment cost, or very small flat fee per transaction. Again, this number of transactions would have been discussed during the sales opportunity process.
