It's mid June and they are still on track to start commissioning of the test loop as early as Q1, 24 and completing the program as early as mid 24. That's reassuring news to me so far along in the project.
I'm assuming the newly mentioned beam controll device progress was significant to someone, otherwise why mention it?
I'm not a nuclear physicist nor engineer, but if you look at the Feb 23 update around technical progress, the second laser system was due for shipment around mid 23. That seems to be now Q3 23, so a small slip there. However the overall project shedule has not changed.
If I had to guess, I would say that the Lucas hieghts crew has been working pretty hard of late around that BCD and 2nd laser, and that recent progress has prompted reassurance that overall project shedule is still on track.
That's pretty impressive, given the nature of the industry.
