    I don't believe their intent is to acquire. A merger between SLR/RED would in theory place the new entity MC similar to that of GMD which would then allow those 2 to merge on a 1:1 basis. The blocking stake is probably strategic in that it currently blocks a 3rd party from trying to come in in the interim.
