Nimbus Drilling Update – More Positive Results
Highlights:
• Further Drilling Extensions to Silver-Gold Lenses 2, 3, and 4
• High Grade Intercepts up to 1030g/t silver
• Diamond Drilling Stage 3 Commenced
• RC drilling program Stage 1 Extended
Further to last weeks’ announcement of Extensions to Lens Nos. 1, 3, and 4, the
Directors of MacPhersons Resources Limited (ASX:MRP) is pleased to announce
continuing successful drilling results at its 100% owned Nimbus Silver-Zinc-Gold Project
located 10km east of Kalgoorlie’s Super Pit gold mine. Progressive drilling results have
shown both silver oxide and silver sulphide mineralisation continues between the Nimbus
Discovery and East Pits. Recent intercepts include:
• 10m @ 188g/t Ag in NBRC198 from 115m depth;
o Includes 2.0m @ 355g/t Ag from 116m;
o Includes 3.0m @ 253g/t Ag from 120m (see Figure 2);
• 10m @ 388g/t Ag in NBRC212 from 34m depth;
o Includes 4m @ 758g/t Ag from 35m;
• 5m @ 223g/t Ag in NBRC072 from 114m depth;
o Includes 3m @ 287g/t Ag from 115m;
• 6m @ 150g/t in NBRC190 from 124m depth;
o Includes2m @ 355g/t Ag 126m;
• 6m @ 110g/t Ag in NBRC187 from 148m depth;
o Includes 2m @ 540g/t Ag from 152m.
NBRC212 intersection of 10m @ 388g/t Ag is a high grade lens extension which will
deliver oxide feed material to the mill early in the pit cutback (only 29m below surface).
The NBRC187 results continue to add extensions to the New Lens No. 4 announced on
08 August along with the new gold zone of 2m @ 54g/t gold (NBRC033).
With continuing positive results, the RC drilling program will undertake a few additional
holes to extend these intersections; Diamond drilling has commenced on the Geotech
drillout to sign-off on the slope design for the proposed silver superpit.
The Directors are encouraged by the progressive results that continue to show the silver
mineralisation extends between and beneath both pits.
MacPhersons Resources Managing Director, Morrie Goodz, said:
“The Directors are encouraged by the recent surge in silver prices which at the
current price of $33.50/ounce shows a 20% increase in metal value over the last
three weeks and since we completed our pit optimisation studies.”
The Company is working towards a Q4 2013 completion of its 100%-owned Nimbus
silver and gold processing facilities at Kalgoorlie.”
