Yes it is not a good look when you are trying to attract new investment which is a stated goal of Marape and mining minister, they hate Indonesia and want all the investment they can get.. Newmont is putting megamillions into Lihir to move it to 1mil oz and of course as I stated Wafi Golpu is moving soon ...Palmer of NEM was just there w Prime Minister on Wafi..countries like PNG, Ecuador, Ghana, even a few in W. Africa, Botswana (Sandfire's copper build in production now) ..they are tired of all the money going to their neighbors and from underinvestment. The company has not 'rolled over' here w the Atlantic setbacks and now this Simberi retro tax thing...they are showing biz as usual, moving along w things, cashed up, there is almost as much cash on the balance sheet as market cap. Oh well, I might take a flyer here. Like Ascot in Canada which had setback on mine but is ramping up and should be producing in 2025, these little specs are probably worth it over explorers who are generally money pits. There is infrastructure in their mining areas too that is worth something in this inflationary world of building from scratch. GLTA. Bea
