I think the market is looking at management's history of delivery. Gold stuck in the ground isn't worth much unless you can extract it economically.
If you really want a giggle, look at Leonara results in the GMD quarterly compared to when SBM owned it. Seems someone flicked the faster, cheaper switch over there.
