The most important thing in a company is people by far IMO.
PLS setup a strong board (with strong people early on also) and is now worth around $11B last time I checked.
Proof will be in the pudding of course, as long as there are strong stretch targets over 3 years to achieve by all means get the best people you can get (and afford).
