They have patented the technology. If Tesla & Panasonic do decide to use this technology that enables EVs to be just as affordable or even cheaper than ICE vehicles - then the other manufactures will have no choice but to follow suit and use the same technology - ie more royalties from all the EV manufactures.
I'd rather the company pursue the option of spinning off the different divisions into their own companies first before looking at a take over offer.
Three distinct divisions in the company at the moment. Spin-off each one into its own company first to create greater wealth for shareholders. Then look at TO scenarios as the business is further streamlined.
