do u really believe this policy will go through and all the mining companies will be forced to closed down in new zealand ? from a common sense perspective so much legal docummentation and application gets submitted just to acquire tenements let alone applying for drill pads and drilling
the new zealand government invested over 15 million dollars in federation mining only for that to stop and come to a halt ?
well the compensation packages will be HUGE and oceana gold and federation will surely mount legal challenges .
look what happened to kingsgate consolidate in thailand after their gold mine was forced to shut down over environmental concerns .
they fought hard for 4 years and won and now they are open again and mining operations have resumed
