Im still going through the announcement. I just found this below, where the Visible Gold drill hole was made at Big River, it is outside the previous working mine at Big River. This means that there is still a significant amount of high grade gold left by the old timers, near and at surface.
And the Big River deposit is open at depth, not just across strike(length near surface)
You can see the grades below are very high.
This drilling area from Trench H of the high grade gold quartz lode at Alexander River shows the historic mined area in yellow, that produced 41,000 Oz of gold at 26.4grams per tonne (worth $A102million today). This is still open at depth see bottom right, you would expect the 15-26+grams tonne of gold to continue at depth and still be in the ground. This unmined area which is "Open" is only 100-120metres from the surface.
Given this latest round of drilling confirms high grade gold at and near surface at two deposits, Alexander River and Big River.
I would expect to see in upcoming ASX announcements from Siren Gold about plans to announce early mining of these areas. I
f this yellow section above can yield $A102million of gold and they have multiple at surface areas like these below.
It would be very cheap and very profitable for Siren Gold to start early mining at surface or via adits (tunnels), since the gold is so rich as so close to the surface. Let alone a confirmation of a new high grade gold discovery at or near surface.
Anything above 10-15grams per tonne on a new gold zone or shear zone would be a gamechanger....
