Not the size that matters.
The conference is about making news, and the oral presentations with associated media releases are about pronouncing advances to the world. That's the flip side to ASCO controlling the release of information that it shouldn't.
If the study showed no advance in care, was negative, or otherwise humdrum, it wouldn't get an oral presentation. In fact, the company probably would withdraw it. If the top line result we know was all there was, I don't think it would have got the spot.
The abstracts are peer reviewed and oral presentations hotly contested.
I am holding because I think the data are going to be very positive, because if they weren't, I don't think they would have got the gig. Make sense?
