The government wants this technology in place and want to continue to burn coal or gas. They will do what it takes to decarbonise existing power stations .

Todays acquisition was vital for the project to go ahead and it shows the market it is real and not some glossy presentation pamphlet like other H hopefuls are dreaming up.

With the $1 for $1 government grant I bet institutional investors are knocking plus options will get converted early. I’m a little optimistic but am hoping this consolidates and forms a base around 6-8c then a heap of options get converted and an investor matched that and the government doubles it. You then are looking at a fully funded project.

If then becomes a commercial plant and possibly first of its type you can bet it won’t be the only one built.
