Clearly when people transact it is usually for their own personal advantage, whether it is financially to make more or lose less, or for other reasons such as making or losing friends/enemies or enhancing or insuring/protecting personal and legal status, or other reasons (at the spec end it is often to get others to buy). Sometimes buying to lose is the least bad option. Military commanders have often had to sacrifice troops in a feint, to enhance their overall military position.
In this case - we don't know why, but we can't assume "greed" in every instance of buying.
