1. There is always some chance but as this has the backing of the board, and the board probably sounded out major holders beforehand, it is quite small. To me the risk is the FIRB but that also is small as the other half of the assets are already foreign owned.
2. The timeline is for February with penalties to start from then on, so they would've allowed for some delay. Expect Dec/Jan for it to close and you get your money.
I also note that Ausnet got two bids recently, one from Brookfield and one from APA. It's not out of the realms of possibility for SKI to get another one too.
