As I say, there are two options here.
use available cash to find transition to telco or sell the business to one of the big content conglomerates.
Sophie can harp if on about 'doing the mahi' and new set top boxes all she wants...it is just noise.
Of course we need a modern product offering. I have seen the new STB...all that will do is bring Sky back in line with Netflix in terms of UX etc. Just highlights how overdue the investment is.
She says Jarden is still helping them look at options. Everyone seems to assume that means takeover still in the cards but I am doubtful. I believe those interested parties are probably long gone.
So Jarden may be looking into other possibilities. And obviously Sky have to be very tight lipped about it.
