As @1to10 just mentioned - we're still awaiting confirmation from the ATO.
Usually the ATO will make a class ruling on such things, so that it covers all SKT shareholders. That can take a month or two, so just wait for it.
I'd be very surprised if this wasn't allowed (return of capital as opposed to dividend)
FWIW - If you intend on selling your SKT shares this financial year, it won't really make a difference
