The only thing that was interesting was Slide 80 where they reveal they have received a number of low ball bids. Appointing Jarden to 'review' the deals is actually a pretty big deal, and there have been some articles on NBR, Stuff etc that discuss this development. Not that the market has taken this seriously at all...SP is down after the presso (which I am told often happens after investor day presentations for some reason).
Arie Dekker's job is to work with the credible bids and get them to lift them to something that The Board can endorse.
Sky Board and Management are being a little sneaky (in a good way!) by putting that slide in. Let's current players know there is other interest, but also broadcasts the fact to other parties that may want to take a look. With the SP so low, the only way Sky could get a reasonable price is if there are multiple parties putting in a bid.
