    Thanks for the response @mistaTea

I suspect mgmt is going down this path as they are looking at a combination of the census data (ageing population), the composition of skybox customers (overwhelmingly male and over 45), and the LEK survey they reference which seems to indicate ~68% of their customers prefer a box of some sort.

The challenge as you've highlighted is the time & capital involved in developing a box, the cost for customers, and then get a customer friendly UI.......it seems you can make life easy by focusing on the last part (although obviously the streaming/lag needs to also be seamless....having used netflix, prime, abc, sbs, free to air channels here, that no longer seems to be an issue even with Australian broadband/nbn speeds).

Anyway, hopefully the chairman and mgmt get some feedback from holders that the same old is unlikely to help retain a leadership position in the market......nimble and capital light competitors will keep on popping up and eat away at their content.

At this stage, I might give it to Feb next year to see whether things are improving (from a customer retention / growth side), else it a deaths by a thousand cuts.
