I think the evolving global landscape for content is complex. Yes, content costs will likely keep going up as the battle between the giants heats up. Netflix can no longer free ride on other people's content. Meanwhile the Disney camp, and the Warner camp are upping their content in their battle against Netflix. So yes, demand for content will go up, and as such so will the cost of content.
But the distribution of that content gets complicated. If everyone is going to spend more on content, then the question of how to monetize that content becomes ever more acute. Those that command eyeballs (such as SKT) may well gain power, as they will be able to pick & choose that content that serves them best.
The gatekeepers may well rise to prominence again. This is why I am not too dissatisfied with SKTs strategy.
