Well... this looks seriously significant. This substantially diminishes, if not removes, one of the key competitive threats to SKT - that of its domestic rival, Spark. Spark partnering with Sky looks to me like either a virtual surrender, or an acknowledgement that the global giants loom and partnership is the best defence. It also opens up Sky to over 300,000 new subscribers - that's a lot.

This is a big deal - looks to me. Of course, ultimately, it comes down to how much SKT had to pay, which has not been disclosed. The SKT cheque book has been flapping lately...
