Personally I think investors put too much emphasis on MC. It's not necessarily a marker you strive for (yet a lot seem too for some weird reason), it's something that 'naturally' happens and only the 'market' determines what the MC is (hence the M). If you have 1M shares and the market determines each of those is worth $1 then what makes another company that has 2M shares at $0.50 any different? Technically the same 'value' but that's it, that's where comparison ends...there's more to it than MC!
