Silver Lake’s offer is $132 m higher and the board will not engage further with them.
The SBM board want to sight transaction costs etc to make to counter offer look smaller. They do not sight the costs of the GMD deal or that $60 m only a possibility in about 3 years time with the first production of ore from another mine.
Shareholders need to write an email to the St Barbara board demanding the board engage with Silver Lake. Don’t be silent.
