Two points Roo:

1. You'd need to look at the standard deviation of the data that went into calculating that average price of $2,120 before you could claim that an AISC of $1,850 to $2,100 was low or not. E.g., is a person that is 1.70 metres tall considered "short" or "normal height" if average height is 1.75 metres? I don't believe being a little below average global AISC makes RED's AISC low.
2. In any case, when discussing gold stocks on this forum I think most would agree we never compare AISC with overseas gold miners, so I think introducing a global stat is mostly irrelevant and I suspect not what Peri was suggesting either.

Thanks for that stat though; it's something I did not know, and I find the figure surprisingly high considering there are surely a lot of low-cost jurisdictions like Africa and South America.

Haha, well let he/she who has a perfect comment record on this forum cast the first stone; no doubt I have also made some incorrect claims over the years. In any case, true to my position and sentiment below I'm out at 22c and 27c because I believe RED's AISC is a little too high for my risk tolerance. They say you can't go broke making a profit and I've made a decent one on this occasion but it pales into insignificance when compared to the losses made during the bad old days a decade ago (I feel your pain @WilliamPike). I might hop on the train again if RED's SP falls to 20c.
