That and he sat on hundreds of millions during the largest inflationary cycle in 40 years all while gold equities were sitting at rock bottom valuations and SLR scrip near $2/sh. Shareholders previously expressed all sorts of frustration with his refusal at meetings to even entertain M&A ideas. His failure to capitalise on the position of strength SLR was in is beyond incompetent.
