I take it you mean that SMA is linked to the China stock exchanges in terms of sentiment only.
I'm thinking they are a HK registered company which is as about out of China as we will need. I cannot see them shutting off the RMB into HK and once there it ought to be no problem to repatriate funds.

The 100-pound gorilla is capricious regulatory changes - where they decide that Joe Foreigner is making too much money that Zhou China (aka some Party flac) would rather have. But perhaps with the current dude at the helm that is not on the horizon. Rule of law? Weeeell......
