If you look at the Smokey hills mining method, they are establishing there draw points and stope access off there main adit. The mining fleet is 30 ton trucks and 10 ton loaders, to operate this kit efficently you need a 5 meter x 4.5 meter escavation for ventilation, services,loading,etc. The trucks would need about a 10 meter turning circle and you would have to have the draw points back far enough so that broken rock did not over flow into your main access, level development must continue while devoping the stoping blocks.
The orebody sits at about 12 degrees and has a true width of about 600mm. You dont load trucks at 12 degrees, the floor is best kept flat.The hieght of the backs 15 meters from the side of the main adit would have to be 10 meters high.There must be massive dilution.
It would be interesting to know what were the actual reef tons mined. The development tons are basicly waste
