As of March 17,2017, Ben Clube held 22 million shares. Cath Norman 18 million. This is a fair bit of skin in the game, and would definitely increase incentive to a maximum. I would certainly give every measure to maximize my future outlook.
Most directors in companies that are purchasing shares on market are probably only trying to boost moral in struggling companies, hence the low purchase amounts that are typically displayed.
If Mr Clube increased his directors interest next week by purchasing 200 thousand shares, too add to his already 22 million, one feels that except to the amateur investors that it may excite, large firms who are the only ones that will increase the SP, wouldn't even bat an eyelid.
So unless a director has invested somewhere around 500 grand of his pocket money into the company, the normal pittance that we see purchased is of no real great effect. It would almost have a adverse result.
