RPM Global (ASX:RUL)This mining software company has one of the lower valuations in the application software sector at under 3x sales. Part of this is due to the legacy consulting business that RPM Global was built upon, however, it could also indicate people are underestimating its growth potential as it transitions from a perpetual licence business to software as a service. This is because such a model usually has revenue fall suddenly for a couple of years (as it did in the first half of 2020). However, once this transition is in place, RPM Global should be a much higher quality business than it was before; this is often something that isn’t captured by analyst ‘screens’, giving us a strategic entry point. With annualised recurring revenue and total contract value growing rapidly, we think it is a Best Buy Now.
