If you re-read my post, you'll see I agree with your point 1).

I now agree with you re point 2) as you now (in my view) correctly state only pref divs relevant to EPS calcn (your initial post says "less divs (incl Pref divs) - which implies ord divs included).

- so we are in total agreement now.


Have been in COE a long time and just trying to ascertain if Morningstar are reasonable in forecasting DPS at the amounts highlighted by Kaboom.

As a general point, DPS >> EPS would be a cause of some concern (unless signif retained earnings).
