All gone quiet over Xmas break re the media speculation re COE and M&S interest in ENI assets.
Those media reports in The Aust were very matter-of-fact.
The move by COE/APA to firm gas production from Sole provides COE with firm cashflow for the foreseeable future.
In light of that, I wonder if that occurrence is the catalyst for COE to make a move alongside M&S ??
IMHO, I think we will see COE become involved in that ENI sale of assets.
The Vic exploration program has been delayed for what, maybe 12 mths or more, because of rig issues and Covid. Having said that, I would rather COE bring forward the Vic exploration and development, but seems that process is way delayed.
If the ENI assets can show COE a positive return, I reckon COE will have a go.
COE already has some funding freedom with the reserves lending, plus I would think they have good relations with lenders.
COE has good mgt, and a good track record - so I am betting we will hear some news in near term.
