the advantage of LIC's over ETF for overseas shares is the franked dividend stream if they are meeting their benchmarks.eg PGF

fees are a major issue and your Au LIC should be meeting the index at a minimum.

just chart the fund say WLE against the ASX200 against different time frames and see how it's doing.

WLE underperformed over the last year but in the longer term charts, they have outperformed or equalled the index.

Which actually surprise me because the yield seems too high? (common sense suggests that when the yield is high, you need to reinvest a portion of the income.)

Very happy to see positive and negative comments because it always makes you think, check and diversify.
