To me, it's not about exposure to Jaxsta via Songtradr as opposed to exposure to Jaxsta personally.

It's about having a whole lot more dollars invested in Songtradr vs Jaxsta. I think any human being would prioritise their (whole) Songtradr holdings, and the ecosystem they're building there.

Would they want a company they've got relatively more of their own net-worth invested in, to pay significantly more than it has to, to acquire a target that they have significantly less of their net-worth invested in?

I think a sane person in their position would want to do that deal as cheaply as possible.
