No offence to you guys, but I've been researching battery technology for the last 8 years.
you relize that car battery are just AA battery that is place in a carry case that is stacked up like lego blocks,
so what you're trying say isn't really justice because it be one complete battery either rolled or stack like a cake.
and each stack will be separate to each other cell.
and like tesla battery they have errors sensor to notify if a faulty battery accuse and voltage transfer to tye next cell causeing less damge to that battery.

kinda cool how you think a car battery is just a bunch off aa batteries ducktape to each other.

but they might be going into iot because going into production after 5 or so years is better to bring renveue and proceeds into other projects that we have.

either way kinda early for us and the scientists to lay out what they can do with this technology just yet but atm a 3.6v battery is a good start. Alot of useless for that.

also if they can they might be able to use that battery alot of ifs but could easy transfer into battery for cars.
because its just AA battery end of the day.
