Medications can be lipophillic, hydrophobic, small or large molecule etc. This battery opens up the deliverable range of medications via patch. In my opinion, as long as it can be made cheap and discrete. It has to have advantages over current tablets and injections. I would say it's great for stable delivery of medicines over longer periods. Good for older people who forget their tablets. Good for deliver of antibiotics or antiinflamatories to specific body parts. But I agree, the best first application would be insulin.
