    How about reading my post # 52205734 above, if you agree with that then you have to realise that most of yours are wrong or at best misleading. About the only one that could make some sense is your fathers shock box, the trick there is that it produces a high voltage for a fraction of a second so even though it induced a high voltage (5kV is more realistic than 50kV) it is still low power because of the duration of the pulse so it can be driven by a little battery. Just remember Voltage and Amps can easily be raised and lowered but power (after allowing for losses) must stay the same, it cannot be created or destroyed.

    And no I definitely haven't learnt any electrical knowledge from this thread, I do hold an engineering degree and have been tinkering with electrics and electronics for over 50 years.
