Think of electricity like a river of water. The volts is like how steep the river is I.e how fast the water can travel. It's delivering water, we just don't know how much water. I think this is a good update as it shows the delivery of electricity can be delivered from the ink. But we need to know how much water it can generate and let flow into the river.

my opinion is they don't have great results yet, but are looking to improve the output with design adjustments. Once the water is flowing, it can do work, like turn a watermill. We then adjust the output with resistance so it doesn't flow too fast or too slow.
