They must have worked out some projections for a sharp ramp-up of costs in the near future because in the last quarterly they had $6.3m cash, or an estimated 24 quarters of funding. So the small raise is just topping up this amount to account for increased project spending. Hopefully the forthcoming quarterly sheds some light on the matter. The new options that have been issued will effectively be a second raise as they are almost in the money already and if whatever they're working on generates some market interest, likely they'll start getting converted almost immediately
