The Investment Committee on OzBiz sometimes has some good ideas and they've just dropped SOL from their portfolio this month.
My biggest criticism is they'll often pile into something based on momentum (e.g SXE which had already quadrupled). They were up around 35% in 30 months but are down to 26% in a few days (exposure to PDN, AD8 and GMG didn't help) which isn't real flash given the overall conditions past 3 years.
