I attended the Melbourne meeting tonight and came away feeling quite impressed.

it was quite an interesting format that I’ve never seen before in that Alan Kohler acted as the independent moderator and interviewed Todd Barlow and Brendan O Dea. The tone was quite friendly but he did challenge them on quire a few points which made for interesting viewing.

I thought Todd Barlow in particular spoke very well on the general investment philosophy and Brendan O Dea mentioned that despite being underweight CBA the large cap portfolio still outperformed the index in the last financial year and this will be shown at the upcoming result which is quite impressive.

i got these sense these guys are very bullish on uranium and they mentioned having exposure to multiple Australian uranium stock rather than just next gen.

Alan Kohler was quite stunned at the returns currently being made in their private credit portfolio which is now generating something like 20 percent of the net cash inflows for the whole group at an average yield of 14%. Not sure how long this can last for with the rush of capital into private credit but it’s great for the moment.
