Oil and LNG are also on their way down so likely coal will follow suit.
I don't think we'll see the lows of 2020, though, as rig counts are still well down from (2019) pre-pandemic levels. That should limit supply of gas coming onto the market and so help give coal a floor.
If Delta gets worse demand could fall to match supply and then prices could fall further.
