    TPD would be staring down the barrel of a CR at a sharp discount.

    If the SOA doesn't go ahead there is a mountain of shares the arb funds will have to buy back in STX to neutralize their position. Have you not noticed there has been millions of shares transacted on the arb play here ? It is extremely unlikely that they would risk being put into a naked short without being certain the SOA will go ahead.
    It is no surprise at all that STX SP has not moved up in this process, even on the various good news releases of late.

    STX would likely rally sharply if the SOA was called off or was voted down. TPD would do the opposite as it would revert to having to undertake a significantly lower priced CR. Every man and his dog knows TPD need cash, and that would be a terrible position to be left in if the SOA failed.
