As I outlined in a previous post in regard to the electrical grid in the Mid West area power the grid has been under an enormous amount of strain in the last few years. It is a particularly weak part of our grid and the reason AEMO would have granted the capacity and wants it online so quickly. Combined with an increase in electricty from the Ilukas processing plant at Eneabba and other projects, demand will not dimish.
I largely stayed out of the data centre discussion but it would appear to be a massive pie in the sky train of thought.
I can get some more in depth info when I return home next year but I imagine the peaking plant will be a jewel in the crown in the future.
Talk about value adding to our product.
If they do prove up greater reserves at SE we may even see a stage 2 and 3.

This project is a little or Big Gem, the concept & scope is an exciting prospect and being underestimated currently by some but I'm sure there are eyes all over it in certain quarters.
