One interesting question asked was whether the October 2026 start date was a P50 figure. SN said it was a P90 figure. That is, October 2026 is the highly likely start date assuming the approvals are received from the AEMO (the major risk/hurdle). SN said, however, they have received letters of support from government agencies, and the government is very keen to get back-up capacity connected to the network given the phase-out of coal.
