You've thrown out the bait, crowie, so I will bite.

Haber has been shelved in favor of a power plant
    - Rubbish. If you believe that you will swallow anything. This is just a weak excuse on their part.

    Here's the reason, IMO.

There is no shortage of urea nationally or internationally.

Granulated urea is a filthy product manufactured by an even filthier feedstock (natural gas) and process.

Urea is gradually being displaced by alternative carbon free fertilisers. e.g. ammonia based.

Approximately 75% of the carbon in the feed stock is temporarily locked up in the final product (Urea), and the other 25% has to be mitigated by some form, presumable in STX's case it was to be sequestered by CCS.

The farmer has to take full responsibility for the product's carbon emissions. But not for long, IMO.

How many financiers are standing around with a lazy 3-4 billion dollars looking for a home.

Can STX guarantee gas supply for up to 30 years.

    Pure entrepreneurial fantasy. IMO.

Any positive argument for Haber is purely altruistic.
