Apologies if these are dumb questions, but
1. If Beach were to acquire STX in the near future, would Beach’s export exemption extend to all of STXs resource?
If so, then until / unless STX are given their own exemption Beach have a very lucrative opportunity to grab STX at a bargain price. (IE It would be worth Beach’s while to make a ‘generous’ offer in order to induce STX holders into an early exit).
2. Does Beach have an effective monopoly on being able to export its gas at the moment or can others get the exemption by jumping through a few hoops - politics notwithstanding?
Responses from those more knowledgeable would be appreciated.
