I dont think the people of South Johnstone would have an issue with trucks running back and forth through town. During the cane season (6 to 7 months) trucks cart the raw sugar from the sugar mill to Mourilyan Harbour through town. Mud trucks are also running back and forth.
South Johnstone town has a cane railway line through the centre of town ,before the days of trucking the raw sugar to the harbour,it was railed in specially built sugar wagons. If the ML is granted PERHAPS QBL could come to an agreement with South Johnstone sugar mill to have bauxite railed to the harbour.
