You are spot on. There is a lot of jurisdictional risk with high levels of corruption to deal with in Africa. The rail line is very long and goes through torturous terrain. On the east coast of Africa it will be necessary to transfer the ore from train to ship and then again transfer from ship to train in southern Myanmar before it heads north through Myanmar, a country devastated by continuing civil war between the ruling junta and the rebels. All this before it even gets to China.
